1. It is a multi-purpose disinfectant

One of the most well-known uses of lemon essential oil is the disinfection of various surfaces. Because of its concentration of antimicrobial and antiseptic compounds, it is an excellent solution for eliminating bacteria and micro-organisms in places such as the kitchen or bathroom.

  • 40 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 20 drops of tea tree essential oil
  • ½ glass of distilled water (125 ml)

Preparation

  • Add the oils in a bowl and mix with half a glass of water.
  • Pour the mixture into a sprayer.

How to use

Spray the liquid on the surface to be cleaned and rub with a clean cloth.

2. It is a natural deodorant

  • 20 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 10 drops of lavender oil (optional)

3. It is a carpet cleaner

This is one of the most interesting uses of lemon essential oil. As its components help eliminate dust mites, this is a great alternative for carpet cleaning. In addition, combined with other ingredients, it helps to remove stains and dirt.

  • 6 tablespoons of oxygenated water (90 ml)
  • 5 tablespoons white vinegar (75 ml)
  • 20 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 2 cups hot water (500 ml)

Preparation

Add all ingredients to a container and mix until well integrated.

  • Spray the solution on the carpet and scrub with a soft brush.
  • Leave on for 30 minutes then rinse.

  • ½ cup white vinegar (125 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt (15 g)
  • ½ glass of water (125 ml)
  • 30 drops of lemon essential oil

Preparation

Add all the ingredients to the blender and blend until you have a smooth preparation.

How to use:

  • Apply the product on a sponge and use it just like any other dishwashing liquid.
